Infrastructure Middle East 2011 Video
Chairman's Message
Mr. Khalifa Al-Mansoor Asst. Under Secretary, Sanitary Affairs Ministry of Works
Please allow me to welcome you all to the Infrastructure Middle East 2011, Conferences and Exhibition with the 3 concurrent conferences on “Underground Infrastructure”, “Water and Waste Water” and “Traffic and Transportation”. In January 2010 we started this new central event for the Middle East region very successful as Underground Infrastructure Middle East. Due to its overwhelming success, we have finally decided to enlarge the whole event under the new umbrella Infrastructure Middle East.
I am sure that the conferences and the exhibition are going to be of great benefit to the whole region. We will again start with a comprehensive plenary session on visionary technical innovations and regional key infrastructure projects like the planned 1940 km Gulf Railway project linking all six GCC states. But it is not just the large project that we would like to focus on, there are several small and medium scale infrastructure projects underway that are in need for international input. Therefore, the Infrastructure Middle East Conference and Exhibition provides a platform for regional and international government bodies, authorities, construction and maintenance companies, service providers and component manufacturers to change their experiences and to set the basis for the implementation of new projects.
The conference program with internationally renowned speakers is again being compiled by EITEP, the Euro Institute for Information and Technology Transfer in Environmental Protection in co-operation with BSE, the Bahrain Society of Engineers. It will cover all the relevant technical and managerial aspects of infrastructure activities – from sewers, gas, water, power, district heating / cooling and telecommunication systems to water resources management, water and waste water treatment, sludge treatment, reuse of treated waste water and roads, railways, tunnelling and transportation.
The Ministry of Works is proud to patron Infrastructure Middle East in cooperation with the German Society for Infrastructure Solutions Transfer (GSIST) and we look forward to welcome our GCC colleagues from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman as well as the whole international infrastructure community to the Kingdom of Bahrain from 17-19 January 2011.
For more information please refer to the Conference Program.
